Call-Out #25

Call-Out #25

BARB’s rescue hovercrafts were called out by Coastguards amid concern for these six mud walkers on Weston beach who were around half a mile down the beach after attempting to reach the sea for a cooling dip at low tide.

We were tasked alongside Burnham and Weston Coastguards. As our hovercrafts arrived on scene, the mud-covered walkers had fortunately made their way back to the beach and were given safety advice by Coastguards.

BARB’s advice is never to walk into muddy areas of our local beaches – you can easily get into difficulty. Stay on the hard sand, check the tide times, and call 999 and ask for the Coastguard if you have concerns for yourself or others.
