I never planned to end up in rescue. I was just someone from Somerset who liked the beach.
But the mudflats around Burnham-on-Sea are beautiful and brutal in equal measure. People underestimate them every single day.
When I found out there was an organisation dedicated to exactly this kind of rescue work, it felt like a no-brainer. Barb gave me the training, the community, and the knowledge that I am doing something meaningful for the people around me.
