#16 – PERSON IN MUD – 2022/08/13

Our volunteers were called out by HM Coastguard at 7pm last night alongside Burnham Coastguard Rescue Team and Weston-Super-Mare Coastguard Rescue Team following reports of a woman struggling in mud on Brean beach.

Our hovercraft was driven to the beach and stood by while our team assisted Coastguards and an ambulance crew on scene where a woman had collapsed with heat exhaustion. She had been assisting other people in the rescue of a dog from the mud when she had become unwell and needed assistance. We wish her a speedy recovery.
