18 Jul #18 – MULTI-AGENCY SEARCH FOR A MISSING PERSON – 18/07/2020

Our volunteers were called to Brean Down at 1.50pm by HM Coastguard to join a multi-agency search for a missing person.
Two teams of BARB volunteers were tasked with carrying out a foot search alongside Burnham Coastguard. We searched the foot of Brean Down and the surrounding area, including towards the River Axe.
The Police helicopter and several officers from Avon & Somerset Constabulary were also involved, plus a Weston RNLI lifeboat.
After a full search with no sign of the missing person being found, we were stood down and the incident was left with Police as they continued their enquiries. A good multi-agency incident.
