Our volunteers were called out by Coastguards at 5.39 pm today after reports of three people in difficulty in mud on Brean beach. As our crews were arriving at our seafront station, we received an update that the people had fortunately made it back to the hard sand safely, so no further action was required. This was a positive outcome to what could have been a serious incident given that the tide was coming in quickly at the time.
