We were called out at 11.18am by HM Coastguard to assist in the search for a missing person.
A vulnerable elderly person had been reported missing on the border of Berrow and Brean.
Police units were already conducting a search and to help bolster the numbers of people searching, BARB’s volunteers were tasked alongside Burnham Coastguards.
As we were arriving at the last known location of the missing person we were given the positive news that she had been found safe and well.
This was a superb outcome and we were relieved the lady was fine. No further action was needed and our crews were stood down.
