As BARB’s crew was completing call-out #30 on Brean beach, we were tasked by Coastguards with providing safety cover during a separate incident. A group of three people in an inflatable dinghy were spotted in difficulty several hundred metres offshore. Our hovercraft launched on the beach, supporting Burnham Coastguard Rescue Team and RNLI Lifeboats at Burnham-on-Sea. The three people were brought ashore safely.
