Several of BARB’s fully qualified Marine Mammal Medics were sent to Brean Beach after reports of two porpoise being washed ashore on the beach.
Our team made their way by road to the beach where they liaised with the beach warden and it quickly became apparent that the two mammals had sadly died. We updated our colleagues at HM Coastguard and British Divers Marine Life Rescue on the sad ending to this incident.
BARB’s marine mammal medics are part of our team of multi-skilled volunteers able to help whenever needed.
