18 Jul #47 – REPORTS OF PERSON IN WATER – 10/10/2019

BARB was called out at 9.29pm by HM Coastguard to reports of a person possibly in river water near the Clink in Bridgwater.
Our water rescue technicians and other crewmembers were called out alongside Police, the fire service, ambulance, Burnham Coastguards and HART.
BARB’s inshore rescue boat, inflatable rescue paths and walkways were taken to the scene by road.
As a search operation was getting underway, we received news from the Police that the person had been safely found nearby and that no further action was required.
Our crew was stood down — this was once again a great example of multi-agency team working.
